<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image recorder having an improved operability in the case of coping with paper jamming and also capable of preventing operator's hands from being soiled by toner. CONSTITUTION:The image recorder is provided with a top cover 45 which is rotatably installed so that the upper part of the image recorder 21 may be open, a pair of rotating members 38 which is arranged so as to sandwich a passing transfer paper 30 from both sides and rotating integrally with the top cover 45 and a fixing means 41 provided with a pair of rollers for interposing the transferred transfer paper 30 from both sides and performing a fixing action while applying a prescribed pressure, and as to the fixing means 41, the prescribed pressure is given in between the pair of rollers when the upper part of the device 21 is closed with the top cover 45, and the prescribed pressure is remarkably reduced so that the rollers can be rotated in order to open the top cover 45. Then, the operation of rotating the conventional release lever is eliminated, so that the operability is improved, and also, the operator's hands are prevented from being soiled by the toner when the operator holds the transfer paper.</p> |
