PURPOSE:To obtain monochrome recording and high grade color recording having excellent color reproducibility with a device which is compact, low in cost, operates at a high speed and low in running cost, by setting a distance between a record section of one image forming means and a record section of other image forming means to be longer than that of a conveying direction of a material to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:In a read section for an electrophotographic recording 2, a manuscript lighting lamp 21 and a first mirror 22 integrally move on a vertical scanning rail 17 and a second mirror 23 and a third mirror 24 integrally move on the vertical scanning rail 17. An image forming section P comprises a plurality of record sections of different record systems, and is constituted of an ink jet record section 3 at a first position and an electrophotographic record section 4 at a second position downstream in the feed direction of recording paper. The distance between the ink jet record section 3 at the first position and the electrophotographic record section 4 at the second position is set, for example, to be longer than 420mm which is the maximum length in the conveying direction of recording paper and about 500mm. |
