PURPOSE:To secure a valiability for a long term for an optical recording medium having a good mechanical characteristic, and without deterioration in recording characteristic in the preservation in a high temperature and humidity environment by forming a dielectric layer of a composite material containing at least a chalcoger compound and an oxide. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording medium has a board, a recording layer and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is formed of composite material containing at least chalcogen compound, oxide, carbide. Since an internal stress generated in the dielectric layer is reduced, a mechanical deformation such as warpage, etc., is reduced, mechanical characteristics are excellent, and an adhesive force of the dielectric layer and the recording layer is excellent. Peeling, cracks of the film doe not occur, and reliability for a long term is obtained. |
