PHASE ADVANCING CAPACITOR FACILITY

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal expansion of a third harmonic current by constituting part of all phase advancing capacitor banks as an AC filter for absorbing the third harmonics and actuating the filter prior to other phase advancing capacitor banks when the applied load is light. CONSTITUTION:A filter for the third harmonics is constituted by connecting in series a capacitor CF for a third harmonic filters and a resonance reactor LF for the third harmonic filters. While a large amount of the third harmonics is generated in a three-phase unbalanced state where the number of operated single-phase loads is small, the third harmonic filter is actuated by preferentially controlling a switch SF to open by of an automatic controller AQR and the third harmonics are absorbed. Therefore, the abnormal expansion the third harmonic current can be prevented at a low cost as compared with the case where all phase advancing capacitor banks are used for constituting the third harmonic filter.
