The device uses a measuring head (3) applied to the web (1) having coaxial inner and outer measuring pipes coupled to a vacuum pump, with regulation of the pressure within the 2 pipes and evaluation of the mass flow rate through the inner measuring pipe. The measuring head is attached to an oscillating carriage displaced along a stationary guide rail (9) extending across the width of the web, to allow dynamic measurements. ADVANTAGE - Flexible quality control testing device, eg. for filter material web with reduced cost and increased flexibility.
