Aid for manual threading of heald shaft - has warp yarn singulator with presentation arm driven by programmed stepping motor

A number of heald shafts are threaded manually with the help of a positioning device which positions the warp thread near the heald eyelet the appropriate shaft. The device has a positioning arm with a yarn clamp which can move in the heald plane and is driven by a programmed stepping motor. A sensor (413) signals the presence of a warp thread in the clamp (412) to indicate the completion of threading. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved threading aid which allows the operator to use a short threading hook.
