The device is for fastening two pieces of metal (5,7) together. It incorporates an ordinary bolt (11) with a countersunk head (13) and accommodating a hexagonal nut (15). The nut bears on the top piece of metal (7). There is a conical spacer (20) between the two pieces of metal. It is placed narrow end upward and its inner surface fits the conical surface of the countersunk bolt head. The bolt head engages the bottom piece of metal (6) and when the nut (15) is tightened, the bolt head deforms the metal (25) surrounding the bolt hole to fit inside the cone (20).
