Inner insert (bootee) (1, 1A, 1B) interposed between the lower leg and the foot of a skier and a shell of a sports boot, such as an alpine ski-boot, this insert including a vamp (2), enclosing the foot, which is surmounted by an upper (leg part) (3) enclosing the lower leg and consisting of a rear part (3a) and of a front part (3b) forming, respectively, a rear wedge and a front wedge which are associated in order to constitute a wall having a given thickness intended to act as a device for adjusting the fit between the inner surface of the boot shell and the lower leg, characterised in that it consists of a sock (4) extending uniformly and without a fold, and having, in at least one extendible zone, a plurality of distinct and juxtaposed wedging elements (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) which are fixed externally thereto in order to constitute the wall of the insert having a given thickness and compressibility. <IMAGE>
