PURPOSE:To obtain a feed for cultured fishes and shellfishes improved in topping. CONSTITUTION:Phaffia rhodozyma IFO 10129 strain is cultured in a liquid medium and a 10N NaOH aqueous solution is added to the culture solution so as to give the culture solution having pH12.5 and the prepared culture solution is allowed to stand at ambient temperature for 1hr and then neutralized with hydrochloric acid and the microbial cell is separated by a centrifugal separator and dried by a spray dryer to provide an alkali-treated microbial cell of Phaffia rhodozyma. The microbial cell is added to a feed for culture to provide the objective feed having 39ppm astaxanthin concentration. |
