<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device by providing a pair of register rollers which is usually in rotationally stopped condition and rotated after a specified time has passed when a sheet is transferred, and pressing it against the nip section of a pair of rollers to correct its posture using a deflection of the sheet in that condition. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine, when an upper sheet feeding cassette 10a is selected, for example, a sheet 5a delivered by a delivery roller 10b is separated one by one by a pair of rollers 10c and 10d, moved forward through a clearance between an upper guide rib 36 and an upper sheet feeding guide 24a, and fed to a nip section of a pair of register rollers 19a and 19b at stoppage. The sheet 5a, after collided with the nip section, is deflected in a small space formed by the sheet feeding guide 24a, rib 36, and a positioning guide 37 to deviate the sheet feeding guide 24a which is made in contact with the positioning guide 37 energized by a spring. On the other hand, the tip of the sheet 5a itself is pressed against the nip section by an energizing force of the spring applied to the sheet to correct the posture of it.</p> |
