PURPOSE:To modify easily the interval between a fixed platen and a movable platen by computing the parallelism between the fixed platen and the movable platen based on the measured value obtained by a measuring means and providing a computing means with modifying function to modify the computed parallelism to be within the reference value range when the same is out of the reference value range set preliminarily. CONSTITUTION:The interval between cavities formed by a fixed mold 10 and a movable mold 20 are measured each time a disk base is manufactured. During continuous molding, resin in the cavities is cooled, and a movable platen 21 is pulled back by a mold clamping unit 30, and just before the mold is opened, laser beam is transmitted from a transmission section 51 of a non-contact laser length measuring machine 50 mounted on the fixed platen to a receiving section 52 of the non-contact laser length measuring machine 50 mounted on the movable platen 21 on the relative position to measure the interval between a fixed platen 11 and the movable platen 21. The parallelism between the fixed platen and the movable platen can be modified simply by said arrangement, and the thickness distribution of a disk base to be molded can be set within the range. |
