<p>PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the color filter which has excellent smoothness, can be produced advantageously for mass production with decreased steps of production and eliminates the possibility of pollution at the time of forming the color filter by a dyeing method and the process for production of the color filter capable of producing the excellent color filter having good dyeability. CONSTITUTION:This color filter is constituted by providing a photosensitive layer 2 contg. an o-quinodiazide compd. and hydroxyl group-contg. polymer on a light transparent substrate 1 and exposing this photosensitive layer to a pattern shape, for example, a matrix shape, then dyeing the layer. The color filter can be constituted by repeating the exposing and dyeing at least twice. The dyeing is made into the form of dyeing the exposed parts of the photosensitive layer 2 after the exposing.</p> |
