<p>PURPOSE:To provide a user interface converter capable of changing the user interface of a terminal without changing application software in a host machine. CONSTITUTION:In a system consisting of a host machine 1 and a terminal 4 which are mutually connected through a communication line 3, the terminal 4 is provided with a display control data acquiring means 8, a display control data converting means 9 for forming data necessary for constituting a specific picture for the terminal 4, a picture display means 11, an input data acquiring means 13 for acquiring an input from a user, an input data converting means 14 for converting input data into a format to be understood by the host machine 1, and an input data transmitting means 16 for transmitting the converted input data to the host machine 1. Consequently labor and time to be required for the development of systems having respectively different user interfaces though having the same function can be reduced and plural user interfaces matched with user's likings or levels can be applied to the same application software.</p> |
