The phosphoric acid may be originally present in the fertilizer or may be added after the aqueous sodium silicate solution. The phosphoric acid may be added as an aqueous solution containing 35-83% of phosphoric acid in an amount 2-5 times that required to react completely with the sodium silicate. The aqueous sodium silicate solution may contain 1-40% of silica, have a SiO 2 / Na 2 O molar ratio of 2-4, and may be added to the fertilizer in an amount of 1-4%. The treated fertilizer may be dried to a water content of 0À5-5%. The fertilizer may comprise potassium chloride. superphosphate, and triple superphosphate. |
