PURPOSE:To provide a copying machine with which excellent image quality can be obtained without banding(pitch irregularity) even when there is deflection or a swell on the surface of a clamp drum, and which can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION:In the copying device which forms an electrostatic latent image by irradiating the surface of a photosensitive drum 11 rotated by being closely brought into contact with the clamp drum 3 with a laser luminous flux 6 by a laser exposure means such as a mirror 9 and transfers the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the drum 3, the laser exposure means is provided so that the luminous flux 6 becomes in parallel with a straight line connecting the rotating center 11a of the drum 11 and the contact 3a of the surface of the drum 11 and the surface of the drum 3 and the luminous flux 6 is made incident toward the neighborhood of the center 11a of the drum 11. Besides, the diameter of the drum 11 is set to be smaller than the drum 3. It is acceptable that a loop-like belt is used instead of the drum 3. |
