PURPOSE:To obtain an X-ray CT scanner which can scan at a high speed by providing an X-ray detector having a high light emitting efficiency and spatial resolution. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 stores the damping time constant of a scintillator and the data regarding irradiating X rays and performs after flow correction which is required at the time of performing high-speed scanning by successively calculating correction data from the data previously stored in a memory 9 and subtracting the calculated correction data from the data stored in the memory 9. The obtained correction data are again stored in the memory 9 after the correction data are transformed to logarithmic data by using logarithmic conversion data stored in the CPU 10. The obtained data are displayed on a CRT, etc., after the data are transformed into a tomographic image through reconstituting arithmetic processing. By means of a signal processing section incorporating a correcting means for correcting after glow signal components, the spatial resolution of this X-ray CT scanner can be improved to 0.35mm.
