PURPOSE:To provide the method for manufacturing the nickel porous material of good quality to be used for an electrode collector of alkaline battery or the like. CONSTITUTION:Particles of zinc oxide, which include aluminum at 1 mole % and which have a mean diameter at 200mum, are mixed with the carboxyl methyl cellulose solution to form the slurry, and thereafter, this slurry is molded into a sheet at 1mm of thickness and dried. Next, nickel electroplating is performed in the watt bath to form a nickel metal layer at 10mum of thickness on the surface of the zinc oxide particles. Thereafter, the nickel metal layer coated zinc oxide particles are impregnated with the acetic acid solution to dissolve zinc oxide for elimination to obtain a nickel porous plate at 92% of porosity. |
