PURPOSE: To make insulation space that was necessary until now unnecessary, and to simplify a structure in such a way that an electrostatic printing support means is composed so that voltage which charges a surface of a press cylinder can be impressed through a shaft. CONSTITUTION: This press cylinder 5 has a fixed shaft 6 and a metal barrel 7, and a chargeable semiconductive jacket is mounted around the metal barrel 7, and a fixed shaft 6 is supported by a frame 10 of a printing press through a member 11 for insulation, while it is electrically connected to the metal barrel 7 through a ball bearing 9. An end surface 14 of the fixed shaft 6 is connected to a high voltage generation circuit 15 and a voltage control circuit 16 which constitute an electric printing support means at a contact 17, and the connection line is grounded through a resistance 18. A frame 10 of a printing press is grounded at a contact 19. By this, high voltage from the high voltage generation circuit 15 is impressed to a jacket 8 through the fixed shaft 6, the ball bearing 9 and the metal barrel 7. |
