Polyurethane coated pressure roller

Pressure roller consists of an oxide with an intermediate widening coated with a polyurethane composition with a Shore A hardness of 10-40, this composition consisting of a mixture of (I) 25-95% wt. of the reaction product of a polyester prepolymer with an isocyanate content of 2.5-5.0% and 0.67-1.0 mole triisopropanolamine per mole prepolymer, and (II) 5-75% wt. dipropylene glycol dibenzoate. Used for the prodn. of pressure rollers with an ink receiving surface. The roller surface has an excellent mechanical strength, heat stability, moist stability and solvent resistance. The roller is easily and economically produced without the need for handling diisocyanates during the moulding process.
