PURPOSE:To control a recording position and to perform fine shift control efficiently by controlling the power of plural beams generated in a subscanning direction. CONSTITUTION:The optical scanner allows plural beams 20 generated by a beam generator 30 at different angles of deflection to strike mirror surfaces 6 of a rotary polygon mirror 5, and reflected light is scanned on a photosensitive surface 7 through an ftheta lens 8 to form an image. At this time, the tilt angle DELTAtheta of a mirror surface 6 is corrected and the beam intervals of beams 20 in the subscanning direction are improved to normal pitch. Thus, the power of the plural beams generated in the subscanning direction is controlled. |
