<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of coding by synthesizing color component and luminance component data processed in phase and reading picture data by one pattern longitudinally to implement prediction differential coding. CONSTITUTION:A color phase inverter 14 implements output of subcarrier data (d) with phase inversion and output of it without phase inversion alternately for each horizontal scanning period to output subcarrier data (g) whose phases at each horizontal scanning period are in phase. The subcarrier data (g) are synthesized with luminance component data (c) by a synthesis circuit 16 and written laterally according to the scanning sequence kin a frame memory 17 by an address signal (h) from a write address generator 19 and picture data by one pattern are stored. Then a read address (i) from a read address generator 20 is given to the frame memory 17, picture data are read longitudinally from the frame memory 17, the read picture data are coded by a prediction difference coding circuit 18 and sent to a transmission line 30 from a transmission stage.</p> |
