<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the crosstalk of the active matrix type liquid crystal display device and to improve the product yield thereof. CONSTITUTION:A switching picture element electrode 13 for impressing a driving voltage to a picture element electrode 16 is coated with a transparent nonlinear two-terminal thin film (varistor film) 15 which conducts when the voltage exceeding the prescribed threshold is impressed thereto, by which the crosstalk by the driving voltage lower than the threshold voltage is suppressed and the stages for pattern formation are decreased. The deterioration in the nonlinearity by the joining with the picture element electrode 16 is lessened if the nonlinear two-terminal thin film 15 is formed of amorphous strontium titanate.</p> |
