PURPOSE:To prevent the out-of-focus and blur of images arising from the differences in optical path lengths of red, green and blue separated by dichroic mirrors with the projection type liquid crystal display device of a three-panel system which projects and images the red, green and blue light beams transmitted through three sheets of liquid crystal panels to a screen. CONSTITUTION:Reflection mirrors 3 which equal the respective optical path lengths by reflection are provided in the optical paths from a light source 7 to the liquid crystal panels 5 via the dichroic mirrors 2R, 2g, 2B. |
