PURPOSE:To fit radiating fins to a small-diameter heat pipe without deforming the heat pipe by alternately inserting specific fin members and space members formed of solder and sticking the fin members to the heat pipes by heating the solder to melt. CONSTITUTION:Plate-like fin members 2 with hole sections having an inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of a heat pipe 1 and space members 3 formed of solder are alternately inserted into the condensing section of a heat pipe 1. Then the members 2 are stuck to the pipe 1 by heating the solder to a temperature near the melting point of the solder. Since the inside diameters of the members 2 and 3 are slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe 1, such deformation as bend, buckling, etc., does not occur in the pipe 1 even when the members 2 and 3 are inserted. Therefore, the radiating fins can be fitted to a small-diameter heat pipe 1 without bending or buckling the pipe 1.
