The toboggan (1) is shaped like a surfboard, with a raised front and a concave top, on which the user rests his abdomen. The board edges are bevelled, slanting towards the base, with concave sides (3,4) and runners let in. By lateral body movement the user may produce tight turns and, with weight towards the rear, skid turns. Handles (5,6) on the concave upper surface coated with non slip material may help the user to retain his position on the toboggan board. The board body may be cambered down towards the rear. ADVANTAGE - Provides better control on slopes and general performance. Typically 1.2 m long x 0.7 m wide x 0.2 m thick.
