PURPOSE:To raise the power supply capacity and resistance to overload by equipping a power unit with a means which closes a second switch after permitting a self-excited converter to operate as an inverter in accordance with the output of a power-interruption detector and synchronizing the output of the converter with that of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:When an input AC power A is normal, a load 8 is supplied with power by the course of an input AC power source 1 a switch 9 a self-excited converter 10 an inverter 5 the first switch 6 load 8. And, if a fault occurs in the self-excited converter 10 or the inverter 5, this continues to supply the load 5 with AC power from the AC power source 1 without instantaneous break by opening the second switch 7 and opening the first switch 6. Moreover, if abnormality occurs in the input AC power source 1, the switch 9 is opened, and the self-excited converter 10 and the input AC power source 1 are broken, and the inverter 5 continues to convert DC power supplied from a storage battery 4 into AC power and supply it to the load 8. And the output of the self-excited converter 10 is synchronized with the output of the inverter 5 and they are operated in parallel. |
