The invention concerns a butt joint for timber structures in casting moulds wherein two wooden beams, deals, joists or equivalent elongated pieces (1, 2) are braced against each other with their ends against each other. As taught by the invention, the butt joint comprises at a distance from the ends of the pieces, transversal holes (3) substantially centered in the pieces, nail plates (4, 5) affixed on the surface of the piece which surrounds the hole, at both ends of the hole, having apertures which match the holes (3), bracing members (6, 7) fixable in the holes and resting against the nail plates on either side of the piece, and traction members (8, 9) interconnecting the bracing members on one side of the pieces, by the aid of which the pieces are interlocked end to end. |
