PURPOSE:To enhance moisture permeation preventing performance and stabilize thereby the performance of an air cell and the like over a long period of time by a method wherein a water-repellent membrane is formed of a graft membrane, in which a hydrophilic monomer is graft-copolymerized onto both faces of a porous base material, and porous layers each of which is disposed on both faces of the graft membrane. CONSTITUTION:A water-repellent membrane is formed of a graft membrane, in which a hydrophilic monomer is graft-copolymerized onto a porous base material, and porous layers each of which is disposed on both faces of the graft membrane. On the other hand, in an air cell, a negative pole case 1 and a positive pole case 3 having air holes 2 at its bottom are fitted together via a gasket 10. An inner space between both the cases 1, 3 is divided by a separator 4, and a negative pole member 5 and an air pole 6 are disposed on both sides of the separator. Further, the water-repellent membrane 7, an air diffusion paper 8 and a sealing material 9 are disposed in order under the air pole 6. In this case, the water-repellent membrane 7 of the air cell is formed as mentioned above. According to this arrangement, the water-repellent membrane 7 excellent in moisture absorbability and having a less amount of moisture permeation is formed, and the cell to which this water-repellent membrane is applied is stabilized in its performance. |
