PURPOSE:To prevent production of distortion at reproduction by checking and calculating a gain characteristic of the entire frequency band after the end of parameter setting, raising an alarm when the gain setting in excess of a prescribed threshold level is in existence and displaying the frequency band. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a CD player or the like is subject to equalization processing by a digital signal processor DSP 13 and its parameter is set by a microcomputer 15. That is, a switch 171 is operated to select a center frequency and switches 173, 174 are operated after the setting through the depression of a data setting switch 175 to set the selectivity and the gain. The operation above is repeated and the parameter setting is finished, then the microcomputer 15 checks the gain and the calculate the gain characteristic of the entire frequency band. Whether or not the gain exceeds a prescribed threshold level is discriminated and when the threshold level is exceeded, an alarm is raised and the frequency band is displayed on a display panel 16. Thus, resetting is urged and production of distortion at reproduction is prevented. |
