For application to a four jaw chuck for example the end stop has four arms (A, B, C, D) spaced at 90 deg. In side view the arms are L-shaped to form a spigot that locates the end stop in the bore of the chuck whilst the arms can be positioned to lie between the chuck jaws. The arms function to distance the workpiece from the chuck face. The end stop may be made from metal or plastics material. ADVANTAGE - Simple and quick to apply. No modification is required to chuck. Workpiece is located square and does not move under pressure. Workpieces of varying size can be clamped.
