PURPOSE:To produce a high-quality piezoelectric ceramic having uniform characteristic values in high yield by calcining a ceramic compact contg. PbO in the air to remove a binder and then sintering the calcined compact in a ceramic vessel. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower surfaces of a ceramic compact 3 are coated with ceramic green sheets 2A and 2B, and the compact is calcined and then sintered. The minimum area on the compact surface is covered with the sintering sheet to sinter the compact in the case, hence the PbO is not scattered in sintering, the PbO atmosphere is uniformized in a ceramic vessel 4, and the compact is uniformly sintered. A high-quality piezoelectric ceramic having uniform characteristic values is easily, efficiently and stably produced in high yield in this way. |
