PURPOSE:To provide a filter capable of being cleaned with an alkali detergent, causing no trouble with respect to heat resistance and handleability and having high oil mist adsorbing and holding performance. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabric 6 made of alkali-resistant inorg. fibers is fitted to a water permeable holder 5b to form a nonwoven fabric layer and meshy or porous plate-shaped removing layers 5 formed with an alkali-resistant metal are laminated on one side of the nonwoven fabric layer with the holder 5b on the other side.
