<p>The object of the invention is to provide a traffic signaling device which enables a roadway work site flagman to selectively control traffic instructions displayed in opposite directions. Said signaling device (10) has at least two sets of fixed louvers (11) and moveable louvers (13), said moveable louvers (13) being superimposable over said fixed louvers (11) to allow selection of a message on either the fixed or moveable louvers. A drive rod (30) serves to shift moveable louvers (13) while a second drive rod (32) may be utilized to shift a second set of moveable louvers facing in a second direction from the louvers operated by drive rod (30). In this manner, motorists traveling in different directions may be independently instructed by a single traffic signaling device.</p> |
