PURPOSE:To always obtain stable image-quality without being affected by a partial increase in temperature caused by a heating member in a copying machine and a decrease in temperature when the copying machine is out of operation by rotating a transfer drum constantly or intermittently when an image forming device is standing by. CONSTITUTION:To a controller, an on/off signal from the main switch of the copying machine, an on/off signal from a print switch, and detection signals from a temperature detecting sensors 14 and 15 are inputted. Based on the signals, the controller controls the driving of the transfer drum 1, the operations of the temperature detecting sensors 14 and 15 and the on/off of a heater 13. Whether the copying machine is out of operation or not is found by detecting the on/off of the main switch, and whether the copying machine is standing by or not is found by detecting the on/off of the print switch. That is, when the main switch is turned off, the copying machine is judged to be out of operation; when the print switch is turned off, the copying machine is judged to be standing by. Whether it is standing by or not can be judged also by detecting the temperature of a fuser 12. |
