This apparatus is of the type composed, on the one hand, of a body (10) including means for fixing it to an element of the machine in proximity to the working zone, and means for orientation of at least one nozzle (19) and, on the other hand, of a control housing (1) for the aforementioned orientation means, which is located away from the working zone. According to the invention, it comprises, within the body (10), on the one hand, a first pneumatic rotary thrust cylinder (12), the output shaft (14) of which is secured to an intermediate support (15) and, on the other hand, a second pneumatic rotary thrust cylinder (16) fixed onto the aforementioned support (15), and the output shaft of which, having a geometric axis (x'-x) parallel to the base (11) and orthogonal to the axis (y'-y) of the output shaft of the first rotary thrust cylinder, is secured to a rotor (18) radially bearing at least one nozzle (19) and its end-fitting (20) for connection to the sprinkling circuit of the machine. <IMAGE>
