摘要 The magnetic recording material is produced by using a non magnetic carrier on which magnetic layers are formed. A relatively thick layer of magnetic film is formed on the layer, formed from a Co-Ni-Cr-B alloy that contains at least one of the elements of V, Nb and Ta. Typically the alloy has 5-30 percent Ni, 5-15 percent Cr, 0.1-5 percent B together with one of the V, Nb, Ta group with the remainder Cu. This layer is then covered by a layer of Co-Ni-Cr alloy together with at least one of V, Nb, Ta in different quantities to the first layer. The thickness of the films are between 30 and 60 nm. The structure avoids the use of the Pt element. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved coercivity and S-N ratio.
