A set of two closing rollers swing on a shaft. As each can is indexed along a circle centred on the vertical axis it is clamped between the table and the clamping mechanism and rotated and it and the cover are joined by the rollers. At the bottom of the roller shaft is a vertical flat (65c), from which a taper bore (65d) extends towards the shaft axis. A lever supporting the rollers fits round the shaft at the bottom and contains a tapped hole for an adjusting screw (56), through which a centring pin (57) passes.
