PURPOSE:To prevent a microprogram memory from increasing in capacity by conducting a self-test of the microcomputer which has plural computing elements without using a microprogram. CONSTITUTION:Arithmetic data are set in general registers 10 and 11. A test control circuit 1 sends a register control signal 3 to transfer the data in the general registers 10 and 11 to temporary registers 12-15 and input them to the computing elements 16 and 17. The computing elements 16 and 17 processes the data inputted at the timing of an ALU control signal 4 sent from the test control circuit 1 and output their arithmetic results to a comparator 2. The comparator 2 outputs its comparison result with the indication of a comparator control signal 5. |
