PURPOSE:To obtain a method for producing a glass cloth for prepreg without fraying selvedge parts or causing creases or bowings near the selvedge parts in rolling the glass cloth. CONSTITUTION:A glass cloth is woven. In the process, warp yarn having the same count as that of weft yarn (4) in a woven fabric part and a sizing agent pickup of <=1/2 that in the woven fabric part is used as warp yarn (2) in selvedge parts. Thereby, a cloth having a smaller thickness in selvedge parts (1) than that of a woven fabric part (3) is provided. A fray inhibitor (6) is applied to the selvedge parts to afford the selvedge parts (1) having nearly the same thickness as that of the woven fabric part (3). As a result, the objective glass cloth is obtained. |
