摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the fuel consumption and drivability and suppress the internal noise or the like by shifting an engine to the low torque driving, generating a smaller torque, while transferring the gear ratio of an automatic transmission to the lower side, in the case where a torque variation in this internal combustion engine has become unfavorable. CONSTITUTION:An internal combustion engine transmits torque to each wheel via an automatic transmission and has a mechanism which provides a direct connection with transmitting route. In this case, when a variation in the torque has become unfavorable, the engine is shifted to the low torque driving, generating a smaller torque. At the same time, a gear ratio of the automatic transmission is transferred to the lower side. That is, at the time of lockup control, the torque variation is detected by a means 1. On the other hand, at the torque variation, it is controlled by a means 2 so as to lower the torque, while a portion of the lowered torque is made up for with the gear ratio. In addition, the engine controls an engine torque controller 5 consisting of a fuel injection valve 3 and a throttle controller 4 and a gear ratio control actuator 6 respectively.</p>
