PURPOSE:To provide the on-vehicle multiplex communication equipment in which one fail safe circuit provides the fail safe function to both a reception circuit system and an oscillation circuit system. CONSTITUTION:The on-vehicle multiplex communication equipment is provided with a D flip-flop 9 using an external clock or a clock from an oscillation circuit 4 as an operating clock and sampling a transmission signal fed from a transmission node 1, a fail safe circuit 7 outputting a fail safe signal when a leading or a trailing of an output signal of the D flip-flop 9 is not generated for a prescribed time or over, and a circuit 6 operated corresponding to reception data and the operating clock and reset or in fail-safe state by the fail safe signal.
