A pneumatically powered fertiliser spreader is mounted on a tractor hitch and dispenses the granular fertiliser through an array of distribution pipes spread to each side of the vehicle on a support boom. The ends of the pipes are curved downwards and the material is sprayed onto a deflection plate (16) on each dispenser to provide an even spreading pattern. The striking surface of each plate is covered with a surface texture. This has a similar size to the fertiliser grains. The texture provides an even more effective spreading control.
