<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the tracking property of the apparatus in the height direction in a height smoothing processing operation. CONSTITUTION:A height smoothing circuit 5 for a three-dimensional radar apparatus computes the measured height value of a target 10 by means of a height computation block 51 from pieces of target data S4, S5 detected by means of a radar search operation; it computes the maximum movable distance in the height direction by means of a height movement estimation block 55. A difference computation block 52 finds the difference between a previous smoothed height and the measured height value from a height smoothing processing block 54. On the basis of a piece of difference data and a movable distance, a positive- and negative-sign totalization block 53 and a difference- value comparison block 56 decide a plurality of smoothing constants. The processing block 54 computes a smoothed height according to the smoothing constants.</p> |
