<p>PURPOSE: To form an impermeable barrier over a steep slope by interposing a clay layer between two sheets of propylene fabrics and joining the sheets by stitches. CONSTITUTION: A clay layer 20 is interposed between an upper ground sheet 22 and a lower ground sheet 24, both sheets 22 and 24 are joined by stitches 17 and 17 through the clay layer 20, and a liner 12 to cut off a liquid is formed. The two sheets 22 and 24 are flexible porous fabrics, especially one or both should be a ground sheet of a woven propylene. The stitches 17 are generally parallel stitch lines of prescribed stitches and a prescribed interval, thereby preventing a liquid from moving through the liner 12 and increasing resistance against shearing stress.</p> |
