PURPOSE:To edit a dictionary while previously confirming the effect of registration to an original sentence containing words under editing before writing dictionary contents under editing in the dictionary. CONSTITUTION:Before writing the dictionary contents under editing in a dictionary 12, based on the instruction of a user, a dictionary editing means 15 retrieves the original sentence containing the words under editing from a translation information storing means 14 which holds the information of translation between the original sentence and the translated sentence and between the respective source words in the original sentence and the translated words, the retrieved original sentence, the words under editing and the dictionary contents under editing are transmitted to a translating means 13, the translating means 13 executes translation by using the dictionary 12 and concerning the transmitted words, however, the means 13 translates them by using the applied dictionary contents and returns the result. The dictionary editing means 15 displays the result and after the user confirms the result, it is written in the dictionary 12. |
