PURPOSE:To simultaneously generate both KANA (Japanese syllabary) and KANJI (Chinese character) data with a single input operation of KANA by saving the KANA data used for KANA/KANJI conversion and for input of KANJI data and using the KANA data as the KANA data for reading KANA transcriptions of KANJI. CONSTITUTION:The KANA inputted through an input device 1 is inputted by a KANA input means 6. A KANA data saving means 7 saves the KANA data in a saving area 3 and also supplies these data to a KANA/KANJI conversion means 8. The means 8 converts KANA into KANJI and displays the converted KANJI on a display device 2. A converted KANJI selecting means 9 selects the desired KANJI with an instruction given from the device 1 and stores it in a KANA/KANJI data storage means 10. The means 10 stores the data converted into the KANJI data in a storing area 5. If the converted KANJI requires the reading KANA transcriptions, the KANA data are taken out of the area 3 and stores in the area 5. |
