The groove (6), which is formed on the inner circumferential face at the transition between the two sprocket halves (1,2), can comprise an angle (7) moulded from the dividing face (9) of the plastics sprocket (3) in one sprocket half (1), and a section (8) opposite this angle in the boundary face (9) of the other sprocket half (2). The distance in the rotary direction of the sprocket between the radially inner part of the section (8) of the boundary face, and the wall face (12) in the other sprocket half, defining the groove or angle is less than the dimensions of the spring (5) in the rotary direction of the sprocket. The sprocket halves can be connected together by screws. ADVANTAGE - Simple force locking connection between wheel and shaft,and easy assembly.
