PURPOSE:To prevent invasion of outside polluted air, dust and others without relying on the stay of drain water and also to discharge the drain water outside an apparatus by a simple construction. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 22 is formed in a side part frame 21 of the main body of an air conditioner and a moisture-absorbing pad 24 is disposed in this through hole 22 with a spacer 23 interposed. The moisture-absorbing pad 24 has a longitudinal section shaped in a gate and is constructed of a composite material of porous resin and nonwoven fabric or the like which is excellent in properties of water absorption, air permeation and sound absorption. Inside the main body of the air conditioner, a main drain pan 20 receiving drain water from a heat exchanger is provided and the bottom of this main drain pan 20 is shaped in a slope lowering on the moisture-absorbing pad 24 side. On the outer surface of the side part frame 21, a secondary drain pan 28 receiving the drain water dropping from the moisture-absorbing pad 24 is provided. |
