POROUS SILICON CARBIDE CERAMIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve corrosion and wear resistance. CONSTITUTION:Silicon carbide powder having 0.3-10mum average particle diameter is mixed with several percent of a sintering aid, compacted and sintered at 1,800-2,000 deg.C in an argon atmosphere to obtain porous silicon carbide ceramics having 0.1-3mum average pore diameter and 15-50% porosity.
