POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN COMPOSITION FOR FOAM, LAMINATED SHEET AND LAMINATE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject lightweight resin composition, having a high expansion ratio and capable of providing a laminated sheet, suitable as an automotive interior trim material and having high flexural rigidity by blending a polypropylene-based resin with a porous filler impregnated with water and a chemical foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective polypropylene-based resin composition for foams is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. propylene-based resin having preferably 0.5-20g/10min melt index with (B) 0.5-10 pts.wt., preferably 2-10 pts.wt. porous filler (e.g. diatomaceous earth or calcium carbonate) preimpregnated with >=2wt.%, preferably 2-20wt.% water and (C) 0.1-1 pt.wt., preferably 0.2-0.8 pt.wt. chemical foaming agent (e.g. diazocarbonamide or dinitropentamethylenetetramine). Furthermore, the objective laminated sheet has an upper and a lower layers composed of solid resin layers composed of a polypropylene-based resin and an interlayer is an expanded resin layer prepared byexpansion molding the resin composition at >=2 times expansion ratio. The objective laminate is prepared by laminating a stretchable skin material to one surface of the laminated sheet.
